I just retrieved my Garrett Gtax 1000 from the back of one of my cupboards..
I bought this off of Ebay a couple of years ago.
It is called a GTAX as it has a graphic analysis function which I am led to believe is the ability to determine the shape of an object, so basically if you have a target that is round in shape it will respond to it when in Coin mode which in a way is really handy if you want to go "coinshooting" that is searching just for coins which seems to be a more popular pastime for some detectorists.
Any way I went for a walk round one of the fields near where I live, what did I find ? answer a small piece of copper pipe (round) and an ancient window handle.
I think that where I live has been well searched in the past but the nature of metal detecting means that people miss things unless of course they are completely methodical in their search.
I have posted a picture of the Garrett GTAX 1000.
I do recommend Garrett metal detectors as they do the job and are fairly straightforward..
